The Taskforce Structure


The Physical Activity Taskforce (the Taskforce) was underpinned by a united goal of policy coordination, research and evaluation, communication and advocacy to ensure sufficient physical activity opportunities for all Western Australians.

The structure of the Taskforce is visually represented in the following diagram and explained below.

Who was Represented on the Taskforce?

Chaired by the Minister for Sport and Recreation, the Hon Terry K Waldron, the Physical Activity Taskforce (the Taskforce) comprised of representatives from State Government agencies, local government, academic institutions and non-government organisations.

Advisory Committees

Within the structure of the Physical Activity Taskforce (the Taskforce) there were a number of advisory committees that provided strategic direction and advice.
