Given that physical inactivity is one of the most important and modifiable risk factors contributing to ill health, particularly for people as they age, the Physical Activity Taskforce conducted a secondary analysis of the 2006 adult physical activity survey data, restricted to adults aged over 45 years - the 'baby boomers'.

The overall aim of this study was to examine patterns of physical activity in the 'baby boomers' age demographic.

Further information about the physical activity levels of Western Australian adults can be found in the Physical Activity Adult Survey reports (1999, 2002, 2006, 2009).
