Research indicates that eating well and being active are critical to children’s health and wellbeing in both the short and long term. They also have a direct impact on children’s performance at school.

This resource encourages parents to use the green, amber and red nutrition identification system at home and provides parents with information and helpful tips on the importance of children being active from birth to five years old.

The book also provides ideas on how parents can incorporate more physical activity and healthy food and drink choices into their child's daily routine.
